  • 27.8% Chronic Kidney Disease $9,002 per patient
  • Myocardial Infarction, $14,519 per Case
    • Myocardial Infarction 9.8%
    • Angina/Chest Pain 9.5%
    • Coronary Heart Disease 9.1%,
    • Congestive Heart Failure 7.9% $7,932
    • Stroke 6.6% $7,806 annually.
  • 22.9%, Diabetic Foot Problems
  • 18.9% Diabetic Eye Disease $1,785.

Estimated annual health care costs for a type 2 diabetic and related complications are $10,000, about $1,600 of which is out-of-pocket.

Report was issued for a Medical Meeting and shows where the "money is" in the Diabetes Industry.
