The figures show, depending on source, 80 to 85% of the reason for death in the US is degenerative disease.This means a disease that is your body actually accidentally killing it self, primarily from input you were not designed for and your bodies reaction to eliminate it from your body.
While it is trying to do so you wont know about it because it is called "SILENT" Chronic inflammation (CI).You body has immune and other attack cells working very slowly and silently at the cellular level.
Biggest cause: Eating food your body was never equipped to handle.
This can tie up your anti- disease and anti- virus system and impair immunity to infectious diseases.It is this "inflammation" that has now been recognized as the chief cause of heart disease, not cholesterol.
This silent ongoing for years Inflammation contributes to artery damage. (called hardening of the arteries)Diabetics know that they have developed gradually over the years (why it is called adult onset diabetes) an insulin resistance (the inability of the body's cells to effectively use the hormone insulin to regulate blood sugar levels).
This is an adverse inflammatory reaction to high sugar peaks (BG) and takes years to develop.Therefore you need to know this inflammatory reaction to "the wrong not made to handle food and drink" increases your risk for heart disease, stroke, diabetes, osteoporosis, cancer and arthritis, to name just a few.
Despite these dangers, many people even when fully educated on the subject, like the smoker. keep right on with the activity that is causing the problem and lowering their life expectancy and causing on going ailments.
The smoker and the food addict will say, "well nobody knows for sure that smoking causes premature death," and the food junkies will say the same thing.(The smokers are having to get a new excuse to cover their continuing what is killing them since it is now 50 years later generally accepted that smoking will kill you early.)
The symptoms of inflammation are very much varied and show up as many different ailments and manifestations that some have had all their life.
They have become so used to them they considered them normal. Often their relatives have the same inability to handle certain foods and have all had similar symptoms for a life time and together just consider it "normal".
These people we find are often amazed when many of these life time symptoms just go away when they get on a diet their body was made to handle.Inflammation, your body attempting to rid or react to expel something is considers foreign and not on the "accepted list inherited from your ancestors.
To find out what this silent activity is doing in your body, only one blood test we know of is used to fairly accurately confirm its presence.The best is the high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) screening test, which detects levels of CRP.
This is fairly accurate marker for inflammation in the bloodstream. Your health insurance often covers the cost, and you should INSIST on it right along with your other diabetic tests. (also insist on an insulin level test)
The more dietary fiber a person consumes, the lower your CRP levels normally so as a working formula, to lower inflammation use our "add fiber to your diet system" (see articles) and/or all the high fiber sources you can find to add the additional fiber.
Remember, caveman ate an estimated 85% of food as fiber and 15% sugar, today our typical ratio is 85% sugar to 15% fiber...which in a nut shell is the story of why you have diabetes. Your body was never made to handle that ratio.Look at your ailments (symptoms) and see if they are on the list of degenerative diseases. If it is on the list, it means you are doing it to yourself.
What you have most likely been doing is taking all sorts of medications to treat the symptoms, which all have side affects creating new health problems.Since you are doing it to your self you can get your body to stop doing it simply by stop inputting what is causing the body to react adversely.
We suggest as an overall system of not having to hunt down the individual culprit (wrong food input) is to cut out ALL foods and drinks your body was not designed for.We call this switch going on the diet your ancestors were on and your body was designed to handle. We call it the Caveman diet for easy understanding and others call it the "Paleo diet" etc.
Neither are really a diet but are a food list of what your body was made to handle. and/or a list of modern foods NOT to eat.MAN MADE VERSIONS OF WHAT NOT TO EAT
There are many common foods that are not inflammation-producing foods, but fast food restaurants add man made substances to them to lengthen time they can be stored etc, such as Trans fats.
Trans fats (now banned in NY City and many countries,) are created by adding hydrogen to vegetable oil (a process called hydrogenation).
Trans fats used with meat etc to extend shelf life etc, (likely over half of your restaurant and/or favorite processed food) turns food on the accepted list into a food causing inflammation.
They are called essential fatty acids and your body can not make them.
Nothing wrong with them and both are needed for good health, Omega-6s are found naturally in meats, poultry, milk, eggs, and also in vegetable oils and some seeds.
In grass fed meats and range raised eggs and poultry etc., you get about three Omega-6 to one Omega-3's.Both Omega-3 and Omega 6 are harmful only when eaten out of proportion to each other, which is happening now in the United States because most all meat production has been switched off the range into confined "Animal Cruelty" meat factories.
There they are force fed corn and cheap government subsidized grains, a food these animals were not made for.To keep them alive in horrid crowded indoor conditions, and cheap food they were not made to handle they are fed massive quantities of antibiotics, chemicals and in addition growth hormones to force full growth in 1/3 less time.
This produces a different "stressed animals" type of meat and eggs, instead of 3 Omega 6 to 1 Omega-3 ratio the meat and eggs produced by these factory methods are 20 to 1 to 30 to 1 ratio.
A good ratio of omega-6s to omega-3s is three to one with it noted that cave man himself likely ate 1 to 1 fat ratio.This current U.S. meat, eggs etc as we note, has a ratio of up to 30 to one -- which causes omega-6s to crowd out omega-3s, changing the body's metabolic processes and causing your body to produce "fix this" inflammatory chemicals.
To do: Boost your intake of foods rich in omega-3s you need to find a source (preferably local) of grass fed meats and eggs in addition to purposely going out of your way to eat special foods that contain high levels of Omega-3.
You will see many nutrition experts telling you to take fish oil to increase your Omega-3.This is one good source but the more I look at this, the more this looks like the least desirable source.
Reason, fish and fish products are now containing high levels of mercury, but in addition, if you research how these fish oils are made you may change your mind.
Also much of this fish oil is now coming from China which enforces almost no standards.They also suggest eating salmon etc once a week. We tell you to eat ONLY wild salmon (all sockeye is wild) and AVOID farmed fish. (another whole story but take our word on this) One newspaper story found 60% of LA Super markets selling Canadian Farmed salmon labeled as the more expensive "wild salmon".
Farmed salmon is grey and they have to dye it pink, to make it look like wild salmon, a dead give away on lab detection.We suggest flaxseed oil and chia as two good vegetable Omega-3 sources which is another story. Walnuts etc a must.
Even if you were able to get your input down to 4 to 1 this would be a huge improvement.Processed sugar. Table sugar, candy, soft drinks and other sweets contribute to insulin resistance and extra pounds, both of which increase inflammation.
You are looking for good sources of "Flavonoids" to help convince your body to stop attacking, that all is well, by inhibiting inflammatory enzymes.
They are prevalent in Dark Chocolate which we have many articles on and helps explain why subjects on many large studies with those on dark chocolate had half the death rate of those on placebo etc.Look for foods whose natural pigments with a deep yellow to deep purple color -- in the vegetable bins.. The more intensely colored veggies the better, (Dark fruits such as plums, etc will work too but diabetics go very easy or avoid because of too fast a sugar conversion.)
Look for dark colored cabbage, etc eggplant (with skin) and even go out of your way to find especially red onions.Nine daily servings of intensely colored servings a day would be therapeutic providing that as a diabetic you have already eliminated inflammation causing factors such as different types of refined sugar, candy, soft drinks and other baked goods sweets etc contribute to insulin resistance from high Blood Glucose levels.
Be absolutely sure you are eating NOTHING with high fructose corn syrup (sugar).Another whole story, (several books on the hazards) and should be avoided at all costs, particularly difficult now that about 70% of processed foods contain HFC.
Example; It is almost impossible to obtain Ketchup with out HFC as a major ingredient.Get rid of the extra pounds, (body fat is itself inflammatory,) not natural and your body is hostile to it and trying to get rid of it, by attacking it.
Summary, Over 80% of deaths and health problems are from your bodies adverse reaction to what you have been doing to it in input etc. Some of this revolt is from 30 years of abuse. The body survival system at some point reacts to rid itself of something it considers a hazard to your survival and this very attack (called inflammation) is what winds up causing a variety of health problems and terminal results. (including heart attacks)
If you can convince your body that your survival is not in the balance by input that it finds calming, you can stave off this adverse reaction.
The simplest and most complete solution is to stop putting into your body whatever it is trying to eliminate, (including body fat)
Often it is difficult and time consuming to determine what exactly your body is drastically reacting to. (example, the average time in US to correctly diagnosis gluten (wheat) intolerance, (Celiac disease) is 15 years.
You have the choice of doing nothing yourself, and/or going to your doctor to get man made chemicals to try to force your body to act differently. Remember, current medical tactics is to deal with making you fell better about the symptoms, (while damage progresses) not fixing the root cause.
You have three take charge yourself choices, to eliminate the inflammation (body attack)
Trick here is to develop a ritual and remember to use these calming herbs spices and many anti inflammatory special foods daily.
We strongly suggest to make this work immediately is to cut out all inputs your body was not designed for.
To determine what it was designed for, look at your ancestors input of 1,000 years ago.That is your model.
