Every issue we have a lot of first time readers and wonder what this newspaper is all about. We do not really give advice, we report on what I uncover in researching the subject and also in sharing what seems to work for me. So i am basic an educator, journalist and hopefully you will pick up enough from what I uncover and try to explain to make a big difference in your over all health. Mainly I am trying to uncover "what works" in extending your life (mostly mine and what works for me will likely work for you) and make your life so good it is worth the trouble. Many that have developed diabetes are not into reading a lot and I am well aware of that. Unfortunately, I ramble on a lot but seem to be learning to shorten my articles up a little. You may not understand something that I explained well in previous issues so suggest you read back issues, since this is a newspaper, not a book. The advantage is what I am writing now in this issue I mostly did not have cleared up at the last issue. If I did a book, it would be obsolete before it was printed. I uncover so much I want to share with you and never get it all in the current issue. Every day I am excited to discover things about what is going on here in my body process that I wish I had known long ago. Every thing starts to fall in place and be understandable and start to make sense. Right along with that comes clarification of what it takes to undo some of what has been screwed up, or what I now call body damage. Simple explanation is like I have been running my whole life on diesel and now I find out I was designed to run on gasoline. What I have done is caused a lot of damage that has accumulated over a lot of years. My goal is to stop all further damage by running on the right stuff now, and let my body undo a lot of it, hopefully, which I find it can, but not all of it. So far, I consider my health actually better then it was before I got diabetes diagnosed and adding two years to my age, it has only gotten better, where I was getting to where I thought this getting old is a real bitch. Now I am very optimistic that I can keep up the close to max pace for years. Others I note are progressively coming unglued, but I am putting myself back together. Where my life works far better then two years ago. I hope I can help you do that too, go here. One of the things I should say maybe it is what is not happening to me, that most others seem to have happening is significant. I do not have the "old age" aches and pains others seem to have. Had started back when fist diagnosed to have serious hip problems that I had to quit taking walks and was thinking I am gong to have a hip operation to see if I can ever get my life back to normal. Without walking a diabetic is in trouble. Turns out my caveman diet, going on Glucosimine and Chondroiton, (available any drug store, I take liquid also contains MSM) and for a while using my little light therapy device when needed I have long since gotten to where I have to stop and think about it, can I even tell I have a hip any more? One of my unfortunate happenings is I had a bicycle accident and tore a rotator cup in my shoulder. Was supposed to have an operation and six months of therapy but I passed on that. Getting along, but have some discomfort and have to limit somewhat heavy lifting etc. Use my light therapy device to keep it tolerable, which is another story. The neuropathy or dead feet as I called it, (could not tell if foot was on gas pedal or brake or nothing) was my greatest upset and health disaster, "complication" from diabetes and I cured that completely. For the last six months I have done nothing to rehab them and I am starting to notice maybe I am getting pre foot problems again, but can do my little cure thing and get that back to normal I am sure any time I want to take the time to do that. Cured it about 80% in 3 days (see my article on how I did that, it was reason I started paper, to share that technique and system) It took a year to get (the other 20%) to where I did not have a trace of foot problems, but now I notice it start to sneak back, to where I note some tingling in my feet now and again, so I guess I may have to do some rehab again. About six months I had a burn injury on my hip and it took a really long time to heal. In fact nothing worked. I note some are publishing studies on honey working to cure foot sores etc that wont heal, I knew that and had used that for years on difficult healing sores, but that did nothing for this. Researched it and tried everything. Only thing that worked was internally taking Pycogenol. (tree bark thing from France) Grape seed extract is supposed to have same affect but never tried it. Sixty days of expensive Pycogenol supplement fixed it. Believe me, nothing else worked. Was appalled to find I could not heal up completely a simple injury on my on. Had previously taken a long time to heal foot and leg small injuries, which seems to a part of diabetes complications, but this was up on my hip. Was particularly upsetting because at the time I had thought I had all adverse effects of diabetes under control. Feel free to drop me a line if you have something that seems to be not getting better and will see if can find what has worked for others if my experience does not include it.
